At AFGI, our only business is installing residential and light commercial standby power systems.
Let our team guide you through the “Power process.”

  • Serving all of South Florida and the Gold Coasts
  • Power systems in propane, natural gas, and diesel
  • Professional turnkey installations
  • State Licensed Electrical Contractor
  • 24/7 service support

We represent seven different product lines because not every installation is the same and not every application is “cookie cutter” in nature.  This diversity of product offering gives our customers the piece of mind in knowing that the equipment picked for their job was the best fit for them and not what someone happened to have on the shelf.

  • Have lights when your neighbors don't
  • Avoid food spoilage and having to throw away valuable groceries
  • Avoid the mold/mildew problems
  • Keep your house cool and comfortable
  • Keep medicines refrigerated and home medical equipment running
  • Make long power outages a thing of the past
  • Hurricane preparation becomes a snap
  • Keep your security system running
  • Keep track of the storm on TV, not a battery powered radio
  • Make the storm less scary for the kids

We use our 30 years of electrical contracting experience and 25 years in the standby power industry to insure that our customers receive the proper installation at the right price.

Forcasters at the National Weather Service are predicting an increase in the size and strength of Atlantic hurricanes for many years to come. Hurricane frequency and impact runs in cycles that last 20-40 years. We are roughly in the early part of a high-intensity portion of the cycle. During the 1970's and 1980's - a low-intensity stretch in the cycle - many people moved into coastal, tropical areas like Florida. They may not realize that the 2004 hurricane season was not a one-year oddity. The hurricane cycles are long and this is the beginning of a phase that is predicted to be severe.
